Tex Watson, born Charles Denton Watson Jr. on December 2, 1945, was a central member of the "Manson Family" led by <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Charles%20Manson">Charles Manson</a>. He was heavily involved in the murders of actress Sharon Tate and several others in 1969.
Watson was convicted of seven counts of first-degree murder and one count of conspiracy to commit murder. These victims included <a href="https://www.wikiwhat.page/kavramlar/Sharon%20Tate">Sharon Tate</a> (who was eight months pregnant), Jay Sebring, Abigail Folger, Wojciech Frykowski, and Steven Parent at Tate's home. He was also convicted for the murders of Leno and Rosemary LaBianca the following night.
Initially sentenced to death, his sentence was commuted to life imprisonment after California abolished the death penalty in 1972. He was denied parole multiple times. While incarcerated, Watson became an ordained minister.
